OK, so lots of us want comp.graphics.research. The next question: Moderated or Unmoderated? To help move this forward I am going to take an unofficial vote on this subject. To vote for Moderated send a message to yesMod@vangogh.vis.colostate.edu To vote for Unmoderated send a message to noMod@vangogh.vis.colostate.edu To vote for comp.research.graphics but can't decide between the above anyMod@vangogh.vis.colostate.edu Don't bother including any great arguments either way because I'm not going to read them, just look at the relative number of votes for each excluding duplicates. I will post a summary in a few days when the incoming voting starts slowing down. PLEASE NOTE: If you want comp.graphics.research please vote one way or another. If I don't get at least 100 votes I will assume that there is not enough interest to support the group or get it through voting.

This entire thread belongs in news.groups where such things take place. If you want to take a vote on moderation/creation of this group, it should be done there. There really isn't much point in going to all the trouble to take an "unofficial" vote. Why not just make the vote official? Also, since this entire thread has been taking place in comp.graphics and not news.groups, system administrator types are probably not aware of this proposal. -- Rich -- ``Read my MIPS -- no new VAXes!!'' -- George Bush after sniffing freon Disclaimer: I speak for myself, except as noted.
