Hi, We have been experimenting with a PCX "slideshow" presentation program lately called PCXSHOW V3.0. It is shareware, and does a nice job, but is having trouble displaying anything in other than the 320x200 256-color mode. The images are from our Genius Color Scanner. They are supposed to be in 640x480 256 color mode. But this is another story. What I am really interested in is what other slideshow/presentation packages are out there? Commercial, shareware, or public domain info will be most welcome. They can be for GIF/PCX/TIFF/etc. I know there are more than just PCXSHOW. If anyone knows of several, and has a favorite, please send that info along too. Another problem with PCXSHOW is the limitation of 128K-size images. This is because (I guess) the lowest common demonitator effect; ie, get it to run on as many 80x86 platforms as possible with one program. We need a slideshow program that can work with arbitrarily large image files as the images we are working with are much more that PC Paintbrush scribbles. I have seen these for GIF files, but I can't remember where. Another reason that shareware or PD was nice was that it could be distributed on disk to customers legally. With PCXSHOW, a runtime unit (royalty free) was provided when you registered so that you could package it on distribution disks as much as you like. This is a factor as well. Any information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Please email responses if possible. Thanks in advance, Mark. -- Mark J.
