Over a year ago, a recipe for peanut butter candy circu- lated around the office where I was working. The recipe ori- ginated from a lady who was living in Saudi Arabia where candy is difficult to come by. So, she created her own recipe, which tastes amazingly like Reese's peanut butter cups (you know, you got peanut butter in my chocalate, you got chocolate in my peanut butter...). Anyways, the recipe was originally published in the Ottawa Citizen. I've tried the recipe and found the stuff addictive (yes, it does taste like Reese's peanut butter cups). Hope you enjoy it. PEANUT BUTTER CANDIES 1 cup margerine 4 cups icing sugar 1.5 cups smooth peanut butter 1 cup or 10 whole Graham crackers crushed 1 bag chocolate chips (6-8 oz.) In a large saucepan melt margerine, add next three ingrediants and blend together very well. Press mix into a 11X16 cookie sheet. In a small double boiler, melt chocolate chips (could also use a microwave) and spread evenly over peanut butter mixture. Chill and then cut into squares. This recipe freezes well. -- ---------------------------------------- Andrew Vernon Computer Communications Networks Group University Of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ont. ---------------------------------------- ...!{allegra | decvax | clyde | ihnp4 }!watmath!wateng!ajvernon
