I need to do a comprehensive review of literature and algorithms in the field of data compression. I would appreciate it if you could suggest any references or algorithms or specifications for standards that you maybe aware of. Please email replies, as well as me-too requests. I will post a summary if I get more than 10 me-too's or email back to the requesters otherwise. I posted to this group figuring people who handle images might have looked into compressing them :-) but if you are aware of a better group, please suggest so. Thanks in advance!
