Every year, the SIGGRAPH registration folks pride themselves on processing thousands of registrations within 48 hours of receipt, and typically achieve 24 hour turnaround. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond SIGGRAPH's control, this year there have been glitches in the procedures for handling credit card registrations. (The particulars are not relevant to this group, but might make for an interesting comp.risks article sometime). The result is that registrations paid via American Express were held up at our bank until today. I'm told the bank has cleared the entire backlog, so the SIGGRAPH registration processing can begin right away and should be completed early next week. Please rest assured that you will not be closed out of a course or suffer any other ill registration effects because of the delay. Thanks for your patience. BTW, as per last year, if you register via fax, and wish to mail a paper copy as backup, please be sure to clearly note that it's a duplicate of the fax. This will help avoid any possible confusion.
