Lets try this again, I don't think this got out the first time. I am doing a project for a local planetarium involving simulations with the Sun, Earth and Moon. I have a Wavefront texture map (and bump map) for the Earth. However I am going to be doing this in GL on an SGI Iris machine. Does a anyone know where I can find out the internal formats for the texture and bump maps of these files? Also, I need a texture and bump map (or any digitized map) for the entire moon. Anyone know where I can get one of these (along with an internal description)? Anyone know who I might be able to contact about such? Please send replies to: gdewan@mrcnext.cso.uiuc.edu (I may not see a posting in this newsgroup in time before it expires). -- =============================================================================== Geoffrey DeWan -- gdewan@mrcnext.cso.uiuc.edu -- =============================================================================== Geoffrey DeWan -- gdewan@mrcnext.cso.uiuc.edu

A few day ago, I posted a note requesting moon maps. I also indicated that I had an Earth map. I have gotton several replies by people saying they would like the Earth map. The rights to the moon stuff reside with a group at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications here at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. If you would like the map, the person I got permission to use the maps from was: Dan Brady 152 Comp Appl Bldg MC-476 Champaign, IL 61820 (217) 244-2004 -- =============================================================================== Geoffrey DeWan -- gdewan@mrcnext.cso.uiuc.edu -- =============================================================================== Geoffrey DeWan -- gdewan@mrcnext.cso.uiuc.edu
