I've just finished writing a viewer for grey level images for a VT320. The terminal can display 33*24 square-ish pixels plus a control line with 4 characters per pixel. We used 50 special halftone characters plus the space to generate 201 grey levels for our normal 0-100 %dot space, but it could be extended to 0-255. 33*24 pixels of one separation might seem a waste of time, but I find it useful when debugging code when the high resolution monitor is in use. -- Richard Kirk Image Processing Dept Crosfield Electronics Ltd.
