Can anyone recommend a good software package for manipulation of optically scanned image for the ibm pc? It should should allow cut-and-paste operations, of course, as well as some way of thresholding out light grays. Boundary tracing would be nice. It should also be able to store the data in a straightforward enough format to be manipulated by a C program (something like an uncompressed raster scan). Please respond by e-mail. Thank you very much. -- Jordan Mann at NYU (mannj@acf9.nyu.edu)
