I'm looking for information about Stereo-Lithography .STL files. .STL files are an interchange format used by Stereo-Lithography vendors. It is suppose to be a "standard." I've been contacting the vendors and surprizingly they have been little help!? Can anyone in comp.graphics netland point me to documents on .STL and/or PD source code for interchange code. My application is development of a backend to a solid modeling system to produce mold patterns. Mark Ganter, Univ. of Washington <ganter@u.washington.edu>

I am also working for an application for the stereolithography process. So any pointers/help pass them my way too. Rajeev Gupta gupta@plato.engr.umbc.edu
