I want to know if there is any way that data from a logically crashed can be recovered. The backup disk was one large file system. Inadvertantly a newfs command was issued to that backup disk. It only destroyed part of the disk leaving the lots of alternative super blocks and data still on the disk. What procedure can we use to recover and how much can we expect to recover?
