I like oatmeal, too, with skinned apple slices and raisins added before cooking, but I didn't see it mentioned that (as I recall) it is alleged to have a surprisingly high protein content.

My trusty USDA handbook says that 200 grams of cooked oatmeal (roughly one serving) has 110 Calories, 4 grams of protein, 2 grams of fat (80% unsaturated fat and 20% saturated fat), 0.6 milligrams of iron, 61 milligrams of potassium, and trace amounts of various vitamins. Not in the "Kellogg's Concentrate" nutrition category, but quite respectable and completely yummy.
