I have MIT scheme Unix version 6.1. Is there a newer Unix version? One with a reliable compiler? (even a commercial scheme would interest me). I am running GNU emacs, which has a Scheme mode built-in. There is a provision for transferring control back and forth between scheme and emacs, but it doesn'treally work. In scheme, the (emacs) call starts a new emacs process (very slow)Is there any way to conveniently go back and forth, a la Ledit and Franz lisp? Fred Sullivan Dept. Math.
