On our system, we have partitioned our large disks(ra81) into smaller
sections of about 300,000 blocks.(Actually the exact size of the largest
partition which will fit on our removable ra61)  That way we can back up
each partition seperately and it will fit on one disk.  Of course, that 
requires more backup routines, but no more disks.  We do fincs for our
daily backups, and yes, make sure you get an "ff" listing every day,
since you need the inode number to restore the files using frec.
