[comp.unix.questions] VMS and UNIX V.2

maw@auc.UUCP (04/04/87)

Is there any way of running the UNIX V.2(or 3) and VMS operating
systems simultaneously? We have a Vax 11/780 running VMS and it would be
ideal to have UNIX and VMS running together for those users who wish
to either be in an VMS or UNIX environment.

I am aware that VMS is a larger os relative to UNIX( minus utilities ).
So could we, at least, get UNIX to run as a subprocess of VMS?

We are very interested in getting both to run together in some way
in order to save us from having to reboot the machine everytime we wish to
change operating systems. Please e-mail me on this matter as soon as possible.
I am not a frequent reader of this newsgroup so I may miss posted replies.

Thanks in advance.
