[net.cooks] Mashed potatos, vitamins, and sin

You will probably be flamed to a crisp for that statement--so I thought
I would post and tell you I agree.

When I make mashed potatoes, I not only peel them, but I add LOTS of
butter and salt.  So I know they are unhealthy.  Healthy is not why
people eat mashed potatoes.  Healthy is why people eat BAKED potatoes.
(Which I do a lot more often.)  With baked potatoes, you eat the skin.
Mashed potatoes are sinful, degenerate, and dangerous.  When you eat 
proper mashed potatoes, you can feel your arteries clog.  So who worries
about a few vitamins?  I love them.  But they are for special occasions.
