Can anyone advise me on how to set up my Ultrix system such that a vt220 terminal can understand the getty sent by the system? It works fine when the vt220 is setup like a vt100, but we want to use the keypad under VMS, and have to change terminal setup to use unix. If you can advise please respond via e-mail, I don't always have time to read this group. Thanks much! Cormac Cormac Burke Relational Technology Inc. Another vt220/Ultrix question: It seems as though Ultrix wants to speak 7-bit Even-parity. This is just fine and dandy--I set my vt220 up as 7E. However, whenever I need to get to the VAX monitor (MicroVAX-II) level, the vax wants 8 bit No-parity. So I have to reset the vt200, start the reboot, and switch the terminal back to 7 bit Even. Anybody have any ideas how i can avoid this constant parity switching? thanks Greg Twaites SICOM Inc Scottsdale, AZ
