[comp.unix.questions] 386 UNIX box running Sys V and DOS?

louis@auvax.UUCP (04/28/87)

I am considering the purchase of a UNIX box based on the 386 which
will be used at home for software development on both UNIX and DOS.
In all the dicsussion of the "Cheap, wonderful, UNIX boxes," I didn't
notice one based on the 386 with a port of Sys V and the ability to
run DOS as a task. I followed the discussion of cheap Suns, and
although I like the Sun, it is still a bit too much, and running
DOS by intstalling a board is also quite expensive.

Please mail me, or reply with any experience, or addresses of companies
with a product either ready to go or nearly ready. I would like to
install a machine with memory >= 2MB, and disk >= 40MB.  I would also
be willing to do a certain amount of system integration here.
