Has anyone had any experience with releases of UNIX (that's true Sys V or BSD NOT XENIX) that will run on 80386 PC type machines like the Compaq-386 or Multitek-386? If you have, let me know about it...I am particularly interested in hearing how easy it is to port sources from USENET to and how reliable/fast it is. I am NOT interested in hearing about XENIX, I have a machine running XENIX already (an Altos) and already know what a ripping pain it is to port sources to. If there are any releases of Unix V/BSD that run on 80286 based PC's I would be interested in hearing about those too. Also, if you have any information about NFS for the afformentioned versions of Unix or info on any GOOD multiport serial card (4-10 ports) that could be used with the above...let me know.
