[net.music] Pink Floyd: The Final Cut

mjs (03/26/83)

Rating: ** out of *****

Pico-review: The Wall, done noisily and/or sloppily.

Micro-review: In spite of this, many parts appeal to me, though some
parts are quite a bit less artistic than The Wall.

Review: Well, if this is The Final Cut of Pink Floyd, they probably
should have stopped at The Wall. It doesn't have the overall appeal
that The Wall certainly had. Picking a side, I'd say that side 1 is
much better than side 2, though I like the title cut. Side 1 is
noticeably quieter than side 2, but more importantly, it is more
musical. All in all, it's an OK album, but I do regret paying $6.99
for it.
