About a month ago I posted a request for data base systems that I could get my hands on for office management. Our particular need was for cheap source. The best suggestion was from Doug Gwyn <gwyn@BRL.ARPA> who said: > You can get complete sources for a relational DBMS called "Unity-TC" > from the AT&T UNIX System ToolChest. They're affordable by comparison > to commercial DBMSes. Generally the ToolChest contains a lot of useful > aids in source form for low cost. I should have thought of that - thanks to Doug for reminding me of a valuable low cost source supplier. The other suggestion for those looking for full office tracking came from Ed Mrozek <mcnc.org!ecsvax!emrozek> who said: > You might have a look at the products from MCBA. They seem to have > all of the standard tools: A/R, A/P, GL, ..... As for a compendium of Unix product lists, Scot E. Wilcoxon <meccts.MECC.MN.ORG!sewilco> suggested: > Look in "Data Sources" (ask a librarian) or the /usr/group UNIX > products directory (see the "access to unix groups" article which is > posted monthly...I think in comp.unix.questions or comp.usenix).
