Everybody around here (and I'm moving in this direction too) use only Scribe or LaTeX -- but with the demise of the only printers with which troff will print (well, the output is filtered), it would be nice to have *something* with which to print those man pages... without facilities having to spend the effort to throw together another gcat to xxx filter (probably postscript -- what? you didn't think that *I*'d spend the time?! :-) I once used a formatter called ditroff (device-independent troff) while at *some-unnamed-company*, and this would seems to fit the bill -- except the folks there that I talked to don't know where ditroff is from (licensing etc), and apparently the source does not include comments.... Anybody have better info? Please send replies directly. I'll summarize to the net if there's sufficient interest. -Bsy -- Bennet Yee Arpa: byee@f.gp.cs.cmu.edu Bitnet: byee%f.gp.cs.cmu.edu@vm.cc.cmu.edu CSnet: byee%f.gp.cs.cmu.edu@relay.cs.net UUCP: ...!seismo!f.gp.cs.cmu.edu!byee USPS: Bennet Yee, CS Dept, CMU, Pittsburgh, PA 15213-3890 AT&T: (412) 268-7571
