We have a very large simulation program here that's written in C. When we load it into dbx, it takes up twenty times as much memory as it's source files alone; this is causing our VAX 11/780, which is running 4.3 BSD UNIX, to run out of memory (!!!). Can anyone out there offer some expert suggestions/tricks as to how to reduce the memory requirements for dbxing this program? -- UUCP: resnick@gt-cmmsr.UUCP ...!{akgua,allegra,hplabs,ihnp4,seismo,ulysses}!gatech!gt-cmmsr!resnick INTERNET: resnick@cmmsr.gatech.edu Resnick's Lower Bound: The best things in life are better than nothing.
