The original cost of the 2 systems was $60000. One system was working fine
when powered down the last time (winter, 1987). It is priced at $8000.
The other system needs repairs to be usable. It is priced at $6000.
About $4000 worth of work by Plexus will fix the latter system and bring it
up to current revision levels (this replaces the tape drive with a 45Meg
drive, replaces a memory board, CPU board, disk controller, and serial port
controller). Upgrading the processor board to the MC68020 would dramatically
improve performance (it already does very well with I/O-bound jobs).
