[comp.unix.questions] who -r returns run level in System V

steve@acich.UUCP (Steve Westfall) (08/05/87)

Thanks to the people replying to my query about how to
find the current run level in System V. The answer is
the -r option on the who command, which on our system
produces output like this:

    . run-lev Aug 5 09:41 3 5 2

(We are currently at run level 3.)

Thanks again!
