Has anyone had the opportunity to use CDC 9772 disk drives with Emulex's SC7003 disk controller on a VAX 8600 or 11/78X? How do they compare to DEC's RA81 disk drives using an UDA50 disk controller? Have you have any serious problems with Emulex SC7003 disk controllers or CDC 9772 disk drives? Please include your hardware - what type of VAX and the operating system you use (UNIX, Ultrix, VMS, etc). I am considering installing two CDC 9772 disk drives with an Emulex SC7003 disk controller on a VAX 8600 using the AT&T UNIX V Release 2.0 Version 2 operating system.
