Could someone give me some info about unix expo on Oct 27-29 at NY?
such as who is the sponsor, what are the main objectives, and
the kind of products you would expect to see on the show.
Thanks in advance.

UNIX/EXPO is crass commercialism. I wouldn't waste the time coming from Indiana unless someone else pays for the boondoggle. It is essentially just a small scale vendor exhibition, but not anything on the scale of /usr/group. -Ron

Uniforum is certainly bigger, but most of the major vendors are at both shows, with exactly the same booths. If someone is looking for info, it is a reasonable place to start. Given both shows at about the same time and place, I would choose Uniforum, but if NY in October is more convenient, UNIX Expo wouldn't be a waste of time. -- Tim O'Reilly (617) 527-4210 O'Reilly & Associates, Inc., Publishers of Nutshell Handbooks 981 Chestnut Street, Newton, MA 02164 UUCP: uunet!ora!tim ARPA: tim@ora.uu.net
