[comp.unix.questions] curses, and batch

  I am a Unix novice and thus this possibly dumb question.
 I have a program that uses curses to play with the screen and
sets the terminal to CBREAK (unsets it too). What happens
if I run it in a non-interactive mode (redirected standard io)
as a sort of background or batch - does it die, does it act strange?

 I am running Ultrix on a Vax 8600
