Well, we're stumped. We lost our Un*x guru a while back, so I turn to das Net for some assistance. We're trying to get a Brand X lineprinter running on our Sun system (running 3.2). Cabling checks out fine. Flowcontrol is XON/XOFF. Everything works fine, *except* when we bump the baud rate up above 2400, we get about 100 lines of output and then it stops. I say "about" because it doesn't always stop in the same place. It acts like it's finished the job. Apologies if the info is insufficient. Mail me what you need to know and I'll get it for you. Thanks in advance. -- + David Macy-Beckwith Artecon, Inc. {sdcsvax,hplabs}!hp-sdd!artecon!macbeth + + The Company has enough on its plate || "Let's see what's out there..." + + without supporting the crazed postings || - Capt. We had this problem with a Trilog ColorPlot-100 (Printronix, basically), and it turned out that the printer, in addition to generating DC3, was dropping DTR! We hot-wired DTR constant-on. We also had to have a logic board swap before ALL the flow control problems were fixed (maybe they gave you our old board!).
