We are running BSD 4.3 on a VAX 11/780. To date we've been using two DMZ32 muxes that have caused us no serious problems. We are now in the process of replacing the DMZ32's with equipment from GANDALF (VGS 2518). This equipment emulates a dhu11 and we have three of them in our machine and they are working after a fashion. The problem we are now encountering is dhu terminals will only work when configured for even parity. stty reports that both even and odd should be acceptable. The DMZ lines which are configured exactly the same way by getty also report that even and odd are allowable and do work with any parity setting on the terminal. Is there some problem with parity processing in the dhu11 driver or should I be suspicious of Gandalf's dhu11 emulation? We are considering modifying getty to set pass8 mode but would prefer not to do this. If anyone has any tips for us or suggestions where to look I'd appreciate hearing. Like always my boss would like to sell the DMZ32's immediately so I am hoping for a quick fix. -- UUCP: {uunet|watmath|utai|garfield}!dalcs!aucs!wdw BITNET: WDW@Acadia Internet: WDW%Acadia.BITNET@WISCVM.WISC.EDU
