----- A while back it was announced that the newgroup comp.unix.unix-at (a.k.a. the "Microport" group) would soon be coming our way. Not only have I not seen it, I haven't seen anything saying why I haven't seen it, what its current state is, that it was all really a cruel hoax, etc... What gives? richard hargrove ...!{ihnp4 | codas | cbosgd}!killer!richardh --------------------------------------------

If you read the "List of Active Newsgroups" article in news.groups (and news.announce.newusers), you'll find the moderated group "comp.unix.microport" alive and well. Not only have I not seen it, The group has been formed and is called "comp.unix.microport" and it is Moderated. I dont have the address of the moderator handy. There have been several postings. Hopefully the volume of traffic will be sufficient to have it changed to un-moderated.
