greg@ncr-sd.SanDiego.NCR.COM (Greg Noel) (01/29/88)
I posted this a couple of weeks ago to comp.sources.wanted and got a bunch of replies from people that wanted the same information (and an intriguing suggestion from John Gilmore that might be feasible), but no actual answers. I'm posting it again to a wider audience in the hopes that somebody here might know something. We are looking for an alternative source for lint, the program that finds pieces of fluff (non-portable or other problematic structures) in C programs. If anybody is aware of such a thing, I'd appreciate it if you could mail me the particulars. We are considering making lint available to programmers on a non-Unix machine; so the cost of a license just for a single program is too much. Although a public-domain version would be ideal, it is quite possible that we can spend some money on it; don't hesitate to tell me about a lint that is for sale. Please send mail to Greg.Noel@SanDiego.NCR.COM or greg@ncr-sd.UUCP. Ncr-sd talks to ihnp4, cbosgd, and sdcsvax, among many others; we are quite easy to reach. If all else fails, my Snail Mail address is: Greg Noel, Unix Guru NCR Corporation, E&M Rancho Bernardo 16550 W. Bernardo Drive San Diego, CA 92127 If you're interested in what I learn, drop me a line as well, and I'll mail you a copy of my report (or post it if there's enough interest). Tks, -- -- Greg Noel, NCR Rancho Bernardo Greg.Noel@SanDiego.NCR.COM or greg@ncr-sd
