For the past few weeks I have been trying patiently to set up uucp. I have read the documentation on the net a few weeks ago, and gone as far as buying UNIX COMMUNICATIONS by Sams & Company (great book), but still have no success. The persons that ported this copy are now long gone. I know it did work a few years ago (yuk yuk) but this has me for a loop. I can connect to the remote system, but once we get into the protocol, I bomb out. I have run UUCICO with x9, and I get into a loop with the remote sending me a CNTL 377777611 about 10 times, but I never respond to it. The following is a copy of my LOGFILE. tsdiag!uucp (2/16-18:48:24) (C,386,0) C.tsdiag (bldfl) tsdiag!uucp (2/16-18:48:41) (C,386,0) OK (MODEM tty1 16) tsdiag!uucp (2/16-18:48:46) (C,386,0) SUCCEEDED (call to tsdiag ) tsdiag!uucp (2/16-18:48:49) (C,386,0) Shere=tsdiag (HERE) tsdiag!uucp (2/16-18:48:54) (C,386,0) dlb (send Myname) tsdiag!uucp (2/16-18:49:00) (C,386,0) OK (startup) tsdiag!uucp (2/16-18:49:03) (C,386,0) C.tsdiag (bldfl) tsdiag!uucp (2/16-18:50:51) (C,386,0) BAD READ (expected 'H' got FAIL) tsdiag!uucp (2/16-18:50:51) (C,386,0) FAILED (conversation complete) tsdiag!uucp (2/16-18:56:02) (C,398,0) NO WORK (tsdiag) Any ideas at all would be appreciated. I could supply the UUCICO X9, but thought it would be a little excess right now.
