I have recently come into possession of an AT&T PC 7300 (20 meg disk,
2 meg core). I would like to load the machine up with additional
software (especially a Pascal compiler and emacs but also, hopefully,
Scheme, a good Prolog, etc., etc.). The only compiler I currently
have is a c compiler. I am wondering what might be available, and
where, in the public domain for the 7300 and/or what sort of
considerations I need to have about trying to compile c source code
not expressively written for use on the UnixPC?
I am also moderately curious as to whether anyone knows if a DOS-73
ms-dos coprocessor board is available for the 7300 for anything like
a reasonable price (like $200 or less). I can buy it for about $650
but I understand that DOS-73 is quite slow, not able to run graphics,
and in general not worth much more than a couple hundred dollars.
Any comments or suggestions about software availability for the 7300
would be greatly appreciated! If you are able to spare the time to
respond, please reply to e-mail address since I am having one
terrible time getting proper access to boards.
