[comp.unix.questions] Grabbing pid from inside of a C program

A quick question:
We are attempting to locate an idle daemon process on the system, and
subsequently  kill it. Which is the best way to do this from inside of
a C program. The system under use is IBM's AIX. Kindly send e-mail.
