Sound good (cause I'm starving right now) Nabisco Brands, Inc. Deforest Ave and River Road E. Hanover, N.J. 07936

I suspect that Nabisco will be a wee bit suspicious if they suddenly see lots of people asking for some bizarre product, in "great" numbers, when they probably only got trickles of requests in the past. Such patterns almost always indicate an "organized" pressure group (the same technique is used by some groups to try "kill" certain TV shows) and are generally not given much credibility. --Lauren--

According to some very preliminary data that I have taken using sampling techniques that are not perfect (albeit whose flaws are very well understood), I currently estimate that there are between 1500 and 6000 readers of net.cooks worldwide. I am hoping to get better data as we refine the sampling technique and also as we encourage more sites to participate in it. I would guess that there are even fewer readers of net.general, except perhaps inside AT&T where it is used extensively for selling dinette sets in central New Jersey. -- Brian Reid decwrl!glacier!reid Stanford reid@SU-Glacier.ARPA
