I have a friend with a DEC PDP 11/23+ who would like to run UNIX on
it. Is Berkeley available for free? What commercial versions of Sys V
and Berkeley are available?
Thanks in advance,

I have an official Unix license for a PDP-11 I own. I bought the license
for lots of money. I plan to retire the 11. I could sell him the license
and/or the 11. The license is supposed to be transferable.
Is he interested in paying for a license?

My understanding is that your AT&T UNIX license is transferable only to another CPU at the same site, not to a third party. You had better check with AT&T software licensing, (800)828-UNIX.
