Is anyone out there experienced with sockets? I'm trying to get two processes to talk to one another, with little success. I've managed to get the two sockets to connect, but I can't get any data to pass. Also, when I close() the sockets, the associated files (I'm using AF_UNIX) don't go away - is this a bug, or should things be this way? Does anyone have some working code I can look at? Thanks in advance, Jason (may@husc8.harvard.edu)

Some time ago, I wrote a package which allows you to open the server/client sides of TCP/UDP/AF_UNIX socket-based processes. On request, I'll mail the (copylefted) package. If there are reasonably many requests, I'll post it to comp.sources.*. -- Juergen "Gandalf" Wagner, gandalf@csli.stanford.edu Center for the Study of Language and Information (CSLI), Stanford CA
