I work in small Unix/Xenix based systems and I have client who has an Onyx. It is a z8000 based Unix system - system III era. Onyx went under, was bought by Corvus, and there are still some machines around. There is a support firm, and some software available. However BASIC is no longer available, and the client has a program to drive some auxilliary equipment that is in BASIC. The program can be re-written for C, but if it can be run in BASIC he could save some $$$$. Question is this - does anyone know of one of the machines that has been retired or just sitting around that may have BASIC, and if so does it have a BASIC that can be sold? (This assumes that the software license can be transferred). Reply by mail please, and thanks. -- Bill Vermillion - UUCP: {uiucuxc, hoptoad, petsd}!peora!rtmvax!bilver!bill : bill@bilver.UUCP
