[comp.unix.questions] SCCS CASSI Interface

meserole@nadc.arpa (P. Meserole) (11/28/88)

Hi:

I am looking for documentation on the CASSI Interface provided with
System V implementation of the Source Code Control System (SCCS). This
interface will link SCCS controlled files to an MR (Modification Request)
tracking system preventing any changes from being made to source files
unless there is a valid MR written against them.

If anyone is currently using this feature of SCCS or has documentation
on it, please send me mail at "meserole@NADC.ARPA". Thanks!

Sorry, mailer trouble from my site...

I'm not sure what you mean by the CASSI Interface. The MR requirement
can be created via the "admin" command of SCCS. (See the admin(1) manual
page under -fv and -m. Then examine the -m flag of delta(1).

Note that the -fv option of admin takes a "pgm" argument which can
be the name of a program that will verify the MR numbers being used.
Perhaps this is the feature you are interested in.
