A couple of months ago I got in on the tail end of a discussion about pot cleaning techniques. There were several follow-ups about a fool proof but (I gather) somewhat difficult method involving ammonia. The person who described it was adament that it would re- move *anything*. I would like to try it, but don't know what it is. Could someone please re-post it? Thanks. A recent occurance with some inadvertantly burned on peach chutney in the bottom of a 12 quart Calphalon stock-pot triggered the question. After soaking for days in a variety of witches brews, my wife gently pried the cake up with a thin bent spatula. It released in one piece, but pulled of some small patches of the wonder coating. According to the manufacturer's literature, this should never happen for any reason. Took (one year old) pot back to the store, and had a brand new one in less than two weeks no questions asked. No admonitions either! Good stuff, good people. Bill Beran Imaging Research Lab Tektronix {decvax, ucbvax} !tektronix!teklabs!billb
