Hello. A friend of mine has an HP-9000 running UNIX and we would like to trade software via floppies. My system is a 80386 running Interactive UNIX V.3. What I would like to know, is from the chart below which is a list of what types of formats he can read/write, what would be compatible with my system? I have a fujitsu 1.2 meg drive. >heads tracks sectors bytes/sector bytes/floppy Kbytes/floppy >===== ====== ======= ============ ============ ============= >2 33 16 256 270,336 264 >2 40 9 512 368,640 360 >2 37 5 1024 378,880 370 >1 40 8 512 163,840 160 >1 40 9 512 184,320 180 >2 40 8 512 327,680 320 > >I can read/write MS-DOS, tar, cpio, and a couple of HP- and/or UNIX-specific >formats (BIF, HFS, SDF, LIF). Please mail me any answers you may have (if any). Thanks in advance for any help you can give. -Jo ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Joseph E Poplawski (Jo) US Mail: 1621 Jackson Street | | Cinnaminson NJ 08077 | | UUCP:..!rutgers!rochester!moscom!telesci!fantasci!jep | | ..!princeton!telesci!fantasci!jep | | ..!pyrnj!telesci!fantasci!jep Phone: +1 609 786-8099 home | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
