We just installed a few Sun's running the Interleaf software and have Interleaf printers hooked up to them. All works well with the Interleaf software. Now, my poor, lonely VAX would like to use the Interleaf printer as output (sure beats the DECwriter). No problem printing plain text files. But, I would like to use the Interleaf printer to provide the same functionality as vgrind. The question -- how do I do it. The details: SunOS 3, Interleaf software (they set up everything) and an Interleaf SX type printer (a close cousin of the Interleaf CX printer). I'm stuck in setting up the vgrind-like script and calling in the proper filters. The /etc/printcap entry is below: 1|mickey|Printer#1(interleaf-serial-sx):\ :lpd=/usr/lib/lpd:lp=/dev/ttya:sd=/usr/spool/ipd1:\ :lf=/usr/spool/ipd1/log:if=/usr/spool/plfilt.4.0:\ :pl#1:sh:sb:sf:rw:\ :printerleaf= pl2rip -T 9 -b stdout:\ :printerleaf-1=pl2rip -T cx -b stdout:\ :printerleaf-2=pl2rip.3.0 -T cx -b stdout -RV :\ :printerleaf-3=pl2rip.4.0 -T cx -h clas14b -b stdout -RV :\ :impress=imppop -b stdout:\ :ascii= tpecat -b stdout:\ :other= ripcat -b stdout: Any help would be greatly appreciated. -- -->BoB Miorelli, Pratt & Whitney Aircraft also, H & R Block tax preparer and Instructor pwa-b!miorelli
