Is there any way under Unix (more particularly, SUNOS) to determine the
percentage of CPU utilization? ps u can tell what percent of the CPU a
particular process is using, but I was wondering if this information was
available for the processor in general (i.e. if the CPU is at 75%, the
processor is idle 25% of the time). I know that the kernel keeps some
statistical information (avenrun, etc) but I'm interested in something a
little more normalized than the load average.
Please reply directly to me as I don't read this newsgroup normally. I will
post a followup if I get a solution. Thanks in advance.
