Hi NETers !
I am doing an independent research project to study, analyze and compare
varios Network File Access Systems. Sun's NFS, RFS and Andrew are the
ones that I have found to be of more interest and potential.
From all the resorces at Tulane I have gathered some information on NFS
(including rfc1094 and Sun's Networking Manual, basically) but I am in
need of
1. Documentation on RFS and NFS, which are supposed to be part of
ATT's UNIX System V release 4 under development now
2. Any other useful ON-LINE stuff that I can get by FTP or email
3. Articles on Network file systems in USENIX conference procedings
of Summer 85, Summer 86 and Winter 88 particularly + any others
4. Contact references (email, etc) about the people working in this area
5. Any technical reports or other references comparing NFS with RFS or
other Network filesystems
6. Any other suggestions, pointers that you think might be of help to
a novice in this area.
Thanks in advance!
Akhtar Jameel
