[comp.unix.questions] Help with displaying symbol tables

sscott@camdev.UUCP (Steve Scott) (04/03/89)

Please forgive if this is too simple a question BUT:

I need an utility for displaying names and relative offsets
of symbol tables in un-stripped executable programs

Any inputs?

You do not say what flavor of Unix you are using, but if you have
it the obvious choice to do what you want is nm. Lacking that I
suppose another although less desireable option would be to use
adb.

					Good luck,
