[net.cooks] net.cookbooks revisited

Just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents regarding a net.recipes,
net.cookbook, net.cooks.veg, etc..

On the cookbook idea..
I've been subscribing to this newsgroup for over three years,
and the way I read the articles is by sending everything to
a line printer on a semi-weekly basis, reading through the pages,
and saving the recipes and articles in a binder. I have accumulated
several binders-worth of information, and I often go through them
to remove duplicate recipes, things I will never cook, etc. This
may be a good interim idea until someone thinks up the best idea for
creating a net.cooks cookbook. With all the good recipes and everyone's
individual tastes, who decides what goes into this book and what doesn't?

On creating sub-newsgroups..
Well, I even like reading through the flames, as long they are kept under
control. Again, it would be nice if everyone respected everyone
else's individuality, e.g., I don't cook with lard, but I'm sure it
makes a super pie crust for someone who does. So, like, if you don't
like something someone else DOES like, just move on to the next article,
like, you know?

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, let's see some good recipe and menu
suggestions coming up!! No one in my family likes pumpkin pie; I
think I posted my Pumpkin-Chocolate Chip cake recipe last year, but
if there are enough requests, I'll repost it.
