I have a question concerning networks/hosts. Using "ypcat" I can view a bunch of the unix networks, but none of the hosts (i.e. "mit-net 128.30 is all I get). If instead of "networks" I "ypcat hosts", I get only the hosts here at U.C.L.A. My problem is that I want to send mail to a friend at MIT, and I have no way of knowing his ID because I can't "finger" a network before the "60 seconds: Connection Timed Out" message. I need a list of hosts atother networks, not just mine. Is there any way to get the information other than "ypcat"? If not, could someone mail me a list of hosts if its available on your system but not mine? Thanks in advance. __ _ / ) / // _____ / /_ __. __ // _ _ (__/ / /_(_/|_/ (_</_</_/_)_ P.S. - E-mail to hc49rrc@valhalla.cs.ucla.edu (don't "re:" - it doesn't come back to the same place, thus remaining unsent. Thanks. C.R.
