[comp.unix.questions] forward mail question

tran@peora.UUCP (05/17/89)

I have accounts on two systems: one is system V with K shell, the other is
Berkeley with C shell. I want to forward mail from the Berkekey system to
the system V. According to the System V manual, puting the phrase
"Forward to person" in the mailfile will do it. I put "Forward to peora!tran"
in the file /usr/spool/mail/tran. However, it doesn't seem to work.
I appreciate your help on this.

Why did you read the System V manual while you wanted the BSD machine to do
something for you? :-) :-)

put "peora!tran" in ~/.forward should fix the problem.
