This was posted 4 years ago. (for those of you who keep such things)

Combine in 3qt HEAVY saucepan

2C granulated Sugar
1C condensed (unsweetened!) milk
2.5 tbsp Butter
1/4 tsp salt
2 oz Hershey's unsweetened chocolate (baking) <bakers does NOT work>
1 tbsp Karo (light)

Stir until everything is melted. When the chocolate is melted
thoroughly, beat with electric mixer (I ain't proud!) until smooth.

Let cook to half way between soft and medium ball stage.

Let cool until barely touchable. (due to heat)

Stir in 1 cup walnuts (chopped), 1 tsp vanilla, and 1 tbsp Stroh's Inlander Rum.

Beat until it starts to set.

When it STARTS to set, get it into an 8' square pan.
(buttered, of course) If you wait, you will eat it out of the saucepan.

This is guaranteed to cause obesity if over-indulged in.
