[comp.unix.questions] Lex and yacc references -- the winner is...

spl@mcnc.org (Steve Lamont) (06/02/89)

I asked for a good reference or set of references on yacc and lex. By
almost a unanimous "vote" the standard reference appears to be

"Introduction of Compiler Construction with UNIX", by
Axel T. Schreiner and H.George Friedman, Jr., Prentice Hall, 1985,
ISBN 0-13-474396-2.

Thanks to all who took the time to reply to my request. A trip to the
local (bookstore, not pub, though, that might not be a terribly bad idea
either :-) ) is definately in order.

Thanks again to all.
